Released by Johnnie Walker in November 2018 28 Year Old Midnight Blend is a limited-edition whisky and the fifth and final blend of the John Walker & Sons Private Collection.
A truly indulgent whisky, this blend features aged whiskies from distilleries including Cambus in the Lowlands, Strathmillon in Speyside and Caol Ila on Islay and Clynelish in the Highlands. When it comes to flavour, Midnight Blend’s complex character is layered with butterscotch, caramel and toffee flavours and a touch of fruitiness and spice.
A smooth and opulent whisky specifically created to be enjoyed after dinner, or approaching the ‘midnight’ moment, the blend is best served neat in a balloon glass and gently warmed in the hand to release its distinctive aromas, or for a truly decadent serve this rich spirit can be enjoyed with a square of dark chocolate.
Presented in a hand-blown glass decanter, there are just 3,888 bottles of this special edition whisky.
