John Walker & Sons Private Collection (700 ml)

The John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2016 Edition is the third annual, limited release and once again showcases the craftsmanship and innovation of John Walker & Sons blended Scotch Whisky. It is another master class from our Master Blender, Jim Beveridge, who combined flavours from over a hundred casks to produce our most complex blend to date. Among the casks were rare single grain Scotch whiskies from five Johnnie Walker distilleries, four of which are now silent.

The latest in a collection of limited edition whiskies from John Walker & Sons to celebrate their incredible blending heritage, showcasing the innovative spirit and craft of their blenders. Over 100 casks were selected for crafting this belnd, making it the most complex in the colelction. Only 8,888 bottles worldwide.

Nose: Heather honey, lychee, papaya, and faint blood orange give way cooked apples and pears and, eventually, to aromatic spices.

Palate: A sumptuous velvety mouthfeel with praline, truffle, almond cream and hazelnut. The apples and pears are back, with a sprinkling of cinnamon.

Finish: A lingering toffee apple sweetness intermingles with gentle wood spice.
