Pimm’s founder James Pimm first mixed and served his famous recipe in his Oyster bar in 1840. The drink made a welcome change to the neat gin that everyone drank at the time.
Since then, Pimm’s has been introduced more widely: sent to soldiers at the far edges of the Empire, served at Queen Victoria’s lunches and introduced at Wimbledon in 1971. A signpost to the British summertime, it continues to be enjoyed at Wimbledon - and other iconic events around the world.
Pimm’s exists to politely, but firmly, insist there are more important things to do than writing “to do” lists…like catching up with good friends. The rich, tawny colour of Pimm's No.1 with its subtle tastes of spice and citrus fruit make it the perfect drink for sharing and is an extra special choice for your guests.
