This smooth, complex blended malt whisky from Lower East Side has a sweet balanced character, initially offering notes of vanilla and bitter almonds. Supple, fruity flavours build alongside sweet honey and a mild smoky element that builds into a smooth finish.

Nose: Honey-roasted peanuts with a little earthy edge. Eventually you get some lovely soft vanilla and floral notes. Strawberries covered in dark chocolate. Some fresh oak notes here, with sharpened pencils and sawdust.
Palate: Sweet fruitiness arrives, citrus and dried pineapple. Blackberry and mint tea. There is a herbal edge to it; chamomile and some floral notes.
Finish: Sweet, but without being overly clingy and cloying.
Comment: A decent, well put together malt. A perfect go-to dram at the end of the day.
