Old Duff Blended Dutch Genever (700 ml)

Many people have heard of Genever but few actually know what it is or even fewer have been exposed to the real stuff. Philip Duff has set out to right this wrong with his own line of 100% Dutch Genevers. This first expression is meant more for mixing in drinks both simple and complex. With a very high 53%malt wine base, the spirit is filled out with rye and neutral grain spirit and a classic mix of botanicals such as orange peel, lemon peel, coriander, juniper, licorice and star anise. No one ingredient or flavor takes center stage here. Instead the spirit adds up to something much greater than its individual parts that is actually quite pleasant on its own but is destined to become a must have staple on back bars everywhere.
